Engines 171 and 150 had the duty of the work train. They brought loaded gondolas to drop rail for the ongoing layup track project.

Extra 171 West holds short of Divide 4's stop signal right next to the tower. In a few moments, the train would proceed into Hicksville station, then head east to Port Jefferson.
